BODY SCULPTING AUSTRALIA

Refund, Cancellation & Booking Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. About This Policy

At Body Sculpting Australia (BSA), we are committed to providing professional non-surgical body contouring treatments and a fair, transparent booking experience.

This policy explains our conditions for appointment bookings, cancellations, rescheduling, treatment packages, promotional offers and refunds.

This policy operates in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), as contained in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), and applicable Victorian laws.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Appointment Bookings

Appointments may be booked online, by telephone or directly through our clinic.

By making a booking, clients acknowledge the booking and cancellation conditions made available to them before confirming their appointment.

We recommend arriving on time to ensure the full treatment duration can be provided.

Late arrivals may result in a shortened appointment where necessary to avoid affecting subsequent bookings. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate late arrivals, but cannot guarantee the full scheduled treatment time.

Any applicable fees or changes will be assessed fairly and in accordance with consumer law.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without a cancellation fee.

More than 48 hours’ notice

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without a cancellation fee.

Less than 48 hours’ notice

A cancellation or rescheduling fee of up to $50 may apply, provided the fee is reasonable in the circumstances and reflects the clinic’s legitimate costs or losses associated with the late cancellation.

Failure to attend

A fee of up to $50 may apply to missed appointments, subject to the same requirements of reasonableness and applicable law.

Where an appointment forms part of a prepaid package, any applicable cancellation fee may be charged separately or deducted from an available package credit, where permitted and disclosed before booking.

We recognise that unexpected circumstances, illness or emergencies can arise. Clients are encouraged to contact us as soon as possible, and we will consider exceptional circumstances fairly.

Cancellation fees will not be applied where doing so would interfere with a client’s rights under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Individual Treatment Refunds

We do not generally offer refunds for a change of mind once an individual treatment has been provided.

If a client changes their mind before receiving a treatment, any refund or cancellation arrangements will depend on the booking terms agreed to at the time of purchase, subject to applicable consumer law.

All treatments are covered by the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a treatment fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, clients may be entitled to an appropriate remedy, including repeat performance, a refund, cancellation or compensation, depending on the circumstances.

5. Prepaid Treatment Packages

Our prepaid treatment packages are designed to provide clients with access to multiple treatments at a package price.

Before the First Treatment

Clients who purchase a standard treatment package may request a full refund for a change of mind before their first treatment has commenced.

Refund requests must be submitted before the first treatment appointment begins.

Any separate appointment cancellation fee that was clearly disclosed and is lawful and reasonable may still apply.

After Treatment Has Commenced

Once the first treatment has been provided, change-of-mind refunds are not generally available for the remaining sessions.

At our discretion, we may offer a transfer, alternative treatment or clinic credit where appropriate.

This does not affect any refund, cancellation or other remedy available under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Promotional & Discounted Treatment Packages

Promotional packages, limited-time offers and specially discounted treatments may be subject to additional conditions clearly disclosed before purchase.

Change-of-Mind Refunds

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the offer, promotional and discounted treatment packages are not refundable for change of mind, including where treatment has not yet commenced.

Changes and Transfers

Promotional purchases cannot generally be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person or substituted for alternative services without prior approval from BSA.

Any expiry dates, booking restrictions or treatment conditions will be disclosed at the time of purchase and must comply with applicable law.

Australian Consumer Law

Promotional pricing does not reduce or remove statutory consumer guarantees.

Where a service fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, the client retains all rights to an appropriate remedy regardless of the promotional price paid.

7. Treatment Suitability & Safety

Client safety is a priority at Body Sculpting Australia.

Certain treatments may not be suitable for clients due to medical conditions, contraindications or other individual circumstances.

We may recommend modifying, postponing or declining a treatment where reasonably necessary for client safety.

Where BSA determines before treatment that a purchased service cannot safely or appropriately be provided, we will discuss suitable alternatives with the client.

If no suitable alternative is agreed and BSA cannot provide the purchased service, we will provide an appropriate refund for the unprovided service, in accordance with applicable law.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and relevant health information during their consultations and informing us of changes that may affect treatment suitability.

8. Treatment Results & Expectations

Individual responses to non-surgical body contouring treatments vary.

Factors such as body composition, lifestyle, treatment type and individual circumstances may influence treatment outcomes.

BSA does not guarantee a particular aesthetic result unless an express guarantee has been made.

However, nothing in this section limits our obligation to provide services with due care and skill, or any other applicable consumer guarantees.

Clients are encouraged to discuss realistic expectations, treatment limitations and possible risks during their consultation.

9. Clinic-Initiated Cancellations

Occasionally, BSA may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment due to staff illness, equipment availability, operational circumstances or safety considerations.

Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice and offer an alternative appointment.

If BSA cannot provide a prepaid treatment or an acceptable alternative, clients will be offered an appropriate refund for the unprovided service, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Clients will not be charged a cancellation fee for appointments cancelled by BSA.

10. Third-Party Vouchers & Bookings

Treatments purchased through third-party promotional platforms or voucher providers may be subject to additional booking and redemption conditions disclosed at the time of purchase.

Clients should review the applicable voucher conditions, including validity periods, redemption requirements and booking restrictions.

Where a refund request relates to a third-party purchase, we may coordinate with the relevant provider to determine the appropriate refund process.

Nothing in any third-party arrangement limits a client’s statutory consumer rights.

11. Memberships

Body Sculpting Australia memberships, including the ShapeUp Club, are governed by separate Membership Terms & Conditions provided before joining.

Membership payment commitments, cancellation conditions and membership benefits are outlined in those terms.

All membership arrangements remain subject to Australian Consumer Law.

12. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

These include guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill, be reasonably fit for any purpose made known to us where applicable, and be provided within a reasonable time where no timeframe has been agreed.

Where these guarantees are not met, clients may be entitled to remedies under the ACL.

For a major failure, a client may be entitled to cancel the affected service contract and obtain an appropriate refund, or seek other remedies available under the law.

For a failure that is not major and can be remedied, BSA is generally entitled to an opportunity to remedy the issue within a reasonable time.

Nothing in this policy restricts these rights.

The current version will be available on our website.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or benefits already agreed to, or otherwise affect clients’ statutory consumer rights.
