Stubborn Pockets of Fat
Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation is a non-invasive technique which emits ultrasonic waves to cause what is known as cavitations (tiny bubbles) in fatty tissue.
It is an effective, non-surgical treatment that reduces body fat and cellulite in selected body areas, safely and non-invasively. It is perfectly safe and painless.
How Fat Cavitation Works?
Due to the specific ultrasound parameters of the energy levels, only the fat cells will be targeted and all surrounding cells and organs are unaffected. The Fat Cavitation uses low-frequency ultrasound waves which are conducted through the skin to the fatty layer below which emulsifies (is broken up into a liquid substance) which the body process naturally, Ultrasound cavitation stimulates the release of fat, in the form of triglycerides, by the fat cells (adipocytes). These triglycerides are taken up by the lymphatic vessels and the veins and end up in various body tissues (such as the muscles) where they can be burned (oxidized) for energy and are then simply and naturally eliminated from the body through urine. (It is, therefore, essential to drink plenty of water during your course of treatments to assist the body with this process)
Benefits of Fat Cavitation
Ultrasound Fat Cavitation is often called as a liposuction alternative. It’s another type of noninvasive body contouring treatment to reduce the appearance of fat on the body.
In this treatment, ultrasonic waves transform your fat cells into fatty acids. Your body can then dispose of those fatty acids — they won’t stick around as fat cells do.
However, ultrasound cavitation isn’t technically a “fat loss” procedure. Liposuction targets fat more specifically. With ultrasound fat cavitation, you’ll instead measure your success by how many inches you lose after treatment.
If you want a tighter, more toned look, this might be the right procedure for you.
What Does Fat Cavitation Feel Like?
Most people feel the treatment is painless and comfortable. Due to the soundwaves there is a specific noise during the treatment which in some cases people may find slightly unpleasant but the noise causes no harm and disappears as soon as the applicator is moved away from body.
Does Fat Cavitation have any side effects?
It is safe for all skin types and does not have any short-term or long-term health effects, except mild superficial bruising in some individuals. Fat Cavitation treatments are not recommended for individuals with BMI (Body Mass Index) higher than 30 (BMI>30) and are contraindicated in patients with varicose veins and oedema, due to lymphatic drainage problems.
Following your complete treatment regime, it is recommended to receive maintenance treatments periodically. Like all non-surgical or surgical techniques, results will last longer if you follow a balanced diet and exercise regularly.
